Thank you to all the people we have had the pleasure of guiding to many natural wonders on Vancouver Island over the past 21 years.


We plan to resume tours in March of 2023 depending on the Covid situation. All tours will be private. Only people that arrive together will be included in any tour. All tours are conducted with 2 meter physical distancing protocol. Transportation is not included. When we arrive at the destination we will conduct the experience with physical distancing that will allow interaction and appreciation of the surroundings. There will be no group combinations or add-on of participants. Do not go on tour if you, or someone with whom you have been in contact, are sick or are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms (such as cough, fever, shortness of breath).

With many years of experience researching, designing and operating sightseeing and nature tours on Vancouver Island Canada, we have the knowledge and expertise to offer complete, interpretive day trip tours to small groups and individuals.

We offer interpretive, guided nature adventures for families, tourists and locals. Tours depart from Parksville BC to the Islands most breathtaking natural settings.


Old Growth Forests are not all the same. The Old Growth Rainforest on the west side of Vancouver Island in Carmanah Walbran Provincial Park has the world’s tallest Sitka Spruce and giant Western Red Cedars.
Clayquot Sound
in theClayquot Sound Biosphere Reserve contains the largest untouched wilderness Rainforests on Vancouver Island. BC’s Pacific Temperate Rainforests have the highest biomass per hectare of any ecosystem on earth.

On the East side of Vancouver Island, the Old Growth Ancient Forest Grove,
Cathedral Grove (MacMillan Park) has Douglas Firs 247 feet tall and 9 feet in diameter.

The BC Big Tree Registry records the largest trees in B.C. The Sitka Spruce in the Little Qualicum River floodplain is the tallest on the East side of Vancouver Island and the fourth tallest in B.C. and was recorded by your guide, Gary Murdock.
