About Us
Your guides are Gary and Ronda Murdock who love to share their passion
for nature. Gary was a Forest
Technician for 35 years, 15 years as Recreation Officer on southern Vancouver Island. Your guides
are certified first aid attendants.
FOCUS
Our focus is on non-invasive nature viewing and enjoyment of Canada’s ancient Rainforests
and wildlife. Trees up to 1500 years old and 290 feet tall, abundant wildlife, wildflowers and
plants, to area’s more often visited by wildlife than by people, but with trails that most people
will find an easy walk.
SIGHTSEEING NATURE TOURS
Educational, guided,
year round full day and half day tours to Ancient Rainforests, Mountain tops, Alpine meadows
and lakes, West Coast Beaches and trails, Whale Watching tours, and Native Culture tours on Southern
Vancouver Island since 1999.
Tours are ideal for those looking for a west coast nature and cultural experience off the beaten
track. All trips are suitable for children and families to seniors, no experience necessary.
Lunches and non-alcoholic drinks provided. One vehicle is a four-wheel drive one ton 15
Passenger van, the other is a Toyota Sienna 7 passenger van, both are gov’t inspected and insured.
Passenger Transportation License 70028. Maximum group size for our scheduled Nature Tours is 13, no
minimums. Tours for any group size can be arranged with sufficient advance notice.
We also provide step-on guide services for up to 150 people and other custom tours.
WHAT WE SUPPLY
Guides, transportation, rain jackets, refreshments,
West Coast gourmet snacks and hearty lunch.
A safe, educational, and enjoyable experience.
WHAT YOU SUPPLY
Layers of clothing are best, so you can add
to or take away from - as the day dictates. You will want to bring a camera and lots of film.
Please advise on booking of any special dietary requirements. You will be required to sign a
“waiver of responsibility and liability” form.
TERMS
Payment in full is required at the time of booking to guarantee your seat on the tour. In
the event that you have to cancel your trip for unforeseen reasons, 30 days prior to the tour date there is a $50.00
administration fee applied. No refund after 30 days prior to tour date. We recommend the purchase of cancellation insurance available
through any travel agency. Trips will not be cancelled for weather conditions, unless travel in
the forest is considered dangerous, in which case the trip can be refunded or re-scheduled.
GROUP BOOKINGS
Discounts are available for groups. There is no group size limitations, provided sufficient
notice is given. No refunds after 30 days prior to tour date. Contact us for details.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED
Airfares, transportation to and from point of
trip - pickup/departure, hotel rooms, meals prior to or after trip, alcoholic beverages, insurance
of any kind, any medical costs, and any loss or damage to personal items.
